Sugar-Free Diet
Kids Connect provides a sugar-free menu that promotes tooth health every day. We provide morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea for children enrolled in our all-day programme Our menus change each season to offer a variety of seasonal foods to keep your child excited about mealtime
Dietary & Religious Requirements
We understand that this may be a parent’s biggest worry but rest assured, our cook caters to children’s dietary requirements as well as families’ cultural preferences. We only serve chicken and lamb at our centre which is purchased from a local halal butcher and vegetarian/ vegan options are daily available.
Healthy Eating Habits
Our goal is to create an eating environment that promotes and encourages nutrition and physical activity with Tamariki, Kaiako and Whānau. In 2022 we started working with ‘The Heart Foundation NZ’ and their nutrition advisors on our menus and we were awarded their ‘Rito Award’. We continue this journey to give our children a balanced diet which ultimately leads to better learning outcomes.
Food and Safety Audit
Besides Kids Connect’s internal audits, we are registered with the Auckland Council under the National Programme 2 and undergo an external audit to ensure that we meet health and safety requirements and documentation under the FOOD ACT 2014 at all times. We have recently received a three-year verification – the best outcome possible!
