Our Story
Kids Connect is more than just a childcare centre; it’s a premium offering in Kids Connect. Our purpose-built centre features dedicated rooms and outside areas for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, providing tailored experiences for every age group.

We are a family-owned, stand-alone centre run by passionate ECE Teacher Jag. Our mission is to bring premium and affordable childcare to Otahuhu, and we are dedicated to making your child’s experience with us exceptional.
Our Dedicated Location
Conveniently located between Mt. Wellington and Penrose, in the heart of Otahuhu. Only a 2-minute drive off the SH20 and SH1 this makes us a popular choice even for parents from other suburbs. The design of our centre prioritizes your child’s safety. Our upstairs location keeps them secure from cars, and we offer a large car park for hassle-free drop-offs.
Keeping Tamariki Healthy
We love seeing happy and healthy Tamariki at our centre. Our in-house cook prepares fresh, yummy, and healthy sugar-free & halal meals to take care of your child’s teeth and tummies. Physical activities are embedded in our daily routine – rain or shine.

WINZ Childcare Subsidy Applications are available for qualifying families at the reception and we are happy to explain the procedure and guide you along the way.

Kids Connect believes in positive and respectful partnerships/relationships with our Tamariki, Parents, Whanau and Kaiako to build life-long socially competent akonga (learner). The African Proverb says “It takes a village to raise a child” hence we work in close collaboration and value the contribution of parents and Whanau to their child’s learning.

Our Kaiako represent the various cultures of our local community and are committed to work towards building cultural awareness, increasing Te reo Maori and celebrating all ethnic diverse languages and cultures while respecting unique beliefs. Learning & Environment
We believe with the support of our teachers, play is the most important mode of learning. Your Tamariki come with their own potential, gifts, and talents – unique in their own way. We support and further strengthen their interests by recognising their abilities and trust that everyone is born to self-educate. Semi-structured activities and our play-based curriculum instill an inquiry focused approach in your Tamariki which will help them to problem solve, share, make decisions and explore the world around them. Te Whariki is the foundation of our daily practice and we recognise and incorporate NELP priorities (National Education Learning Priorities) in our practices.
